Derek Peruo

Derek Peruo is considered, “one of the rising stars in the fitness industry,” and writes and consults for magazines like Men’s Fitness and Muscle & Fitness. His workout advice is also featured on websites like,, Straight to the Bar, and The Fat Girl’s Guide to Living.

Derek was overweight his entire life. In 2006, he successfully lost 95 lbs through a lot of hard work and a proper eating plan. He now looks and feels a whole lot better.

As a cheerleader for weight loss, he takes an active role in the lives of his clients, and believes in the power of fitness to prevent illness, improve physique, and extend life.

Derek views training as a partnership and works with a variety of people, including MMA fighters, Olympic athletes, and busy professionals. His background in movement principles like Commedia dell’Arte, Feldenkrais, Lecoq and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu allows him to quickly customize training programs for his clients, getting results in the fastest way possible.
