"I really wasn't into training when I first heard about Joe. My friend, Ines Rivero, was working out with him and she convinced me to try him out. I'm a very lazy person and it takes me forever to get myself into the right mood to train. I always seem to find something more important or urgent to do. Now, everything is different! “Growing up in Berlin, Germany, I participated in track and field. I competed in the hurdles, short sprints and the 4 X 100 relay. After suffering a knee injury, I was unable to continue with my training. About a year and a half ago, I began modeling, so it became important for me to regain my fit appearance. Since I was going to be wearing the most revealing of outfits in front of a live audience-not to mention the millions of people watching a live broadcast over the Internet-I wanted to make sure that I was in the best shape possible. I've always enjoyed working out, but I must admit it was quite different training with Joe. His knowledge and understanding of strength training and conditioning really impressed me. Because of the high profile nature of the Swimsuit Issue, I wanted to make sure that I was in the best shape possible for the shoot.
